Aqua chalcedony and silver ring, size M.5 (US 6.5)

This sterling silver ring is set with a large oval cabochon of aqua chalcedony, characterised by its soft translucency and muted, sea-green tone. The stone displays gentle internal clouding rather than sharp inclusions, a typical feature of chalcedony and related cryptocrystalline quartz varieties.

The cabochon is bezel set within a smooth silver surround and raised on a sculptural mount. The shoulders taper into a split shank, creating an open gallery beneath the stone that allows light to pass through and reduces overall weight.

Chalcedony has been used in jewellery since antiquity and is traditionally associated with calm, balance, and emotional steadiness. Aqua chalcedony in particular has often been linked to renewal and harmony.
