Chunky malachite ring with square band, size O (US 7.5)

A stunning statement ring set with a substantial polished malachite stone, designed with a square-shaped band.

The centrepiece is a large rectangular malachite cabochon, displaying the stone's characteristic layers of rich emerald and deep forest green. The stone is held by silver claws, leaving much of the malachite exposed and allowing its natural banding to become the focus of the design.

Malachite has been used decoratively for thousands of years, prized for the distinctive green banding created as the mineral forms. Historically it has been associated with protection, transformation and positive change.

There is a small fissure running across the malachite, shown clearly in the photographs. It doesn't compromise the stability of the stone.
