A wonderfully unusual vintage sterling silver pendant, fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1981, featuring a beautifully patterned panel of crazy lace agate and a charming sculptural silver mouse.
Resting against the stone is a delightful silver mouse. The surrounding silver frame features contrasting textures and decorative botanical detailing, creating an almost woodland-inspired scene. The reverse reveals the agate in its entirety, allowing the remarkable natural patterning to be appreciated from both sides.
Crazy lace agate is a variety of banded chalcedony, particularly associated with Mexico. Its elaborate, swirling patterns have earned it a reputation as one of the most visually distinctive varieties of agate. In modern gemstone traditions, it is associated with joy, optimism and emotional balance.
