Twin serpent silver ring, hallmarked Sheffield 2018, size I (US 4)

A sterling silver ring formed as two entwined serpents, their bodies wrapping around the finger to create an open, sculptural design. 

The composition draws on long-standing symbolic associations of the serpent. Across cultures, snakes have been linked with renewal and transformation, due to their ability to shed their skin, as well as protection and guardianship, often appearing in amulets and talismans. In classical antiquity, serpents were connected with healing and rebirth, while in Victorian jewellery they frequently symbolised eternal love and continuity.

The pairing of two serpents introduces a further layer of meaning, often associated with duality, balance, and cyclical change — a visual echo of intertwined forces or mirrored energies.
