Mexican sterling silver abalone leaf brooch or pendant

This vintage Mexican brooch is crafted in sterling silver and formed as a stylised leaf, inlaid with iridescent abalone shell. The abalone displays natural bands of green, blue, and violet, with strong nacreous lustre that follows the veined structure of the leaf design.

The reverse is stamped 925 Mexico, with an additional AM maker’s mark. The brooch is fitted with a traditional pin and rollover catch.
