Silver Celtic “Salmon of Knowledge” pendant

A silver pendant in the form of a leaping salmon, rendered in an openwork Celtic knot pattern. The image of the salmon holds a special place in Celtic mythology, most notably in the Irish tale of the Salmon of Knowledge. According to legend, the fish gained all the world’s wisdom by eating hazelnuts that had fallen into the Well of Wisdom. When the young Fionn mac Cumhaill accidentally tasted the salmon while cooking it for his teacher, he inherited its vast knowledge, marking his destiny as a hero and poet.
