Silver pendant with turquoise and amethyst

A sterling silver pendant set with two stones: a pear-shaped turquoise below and an oval amethyst. Both stones are bezel-set and connected by twin vertical bars. The bail is formed as a wide cylindrical tube, allowing the pendant to slide onto a heavier chain or collar. 

Turquoise has been used in jewellery for thousands of years and has long been associated with protection and safe travel. It is traditionally recognised as the birthstone for December. Amethyst, valued since antiquity for its distinctive purple colour, has historically been linked with clarity and calm. It is the birthstone for February.
