Vintage Mucha-style Virgo zodiac pendant, hallmarked Birmingham 1979

A sterling silver pendant depicting the zodiac sign Virgo, rendered in a style inspired by the work of Alphonse Mucha.

The front shows a female figure in profile, framed by flowing hair and surrounded by birds and stylised natural forms. The composition is enclosed within a rectangular panel and the reverse is decorated with an arrangement of stars.

This pendant forms part of a collectable series representing the twelve zodiac signs, produced by the Birmingham Mint and is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1979.
